Junior is the eldest son of immigrants from Mexico and the first in his family to earn a college degree. This year he will graduate from law school, a journey that started with night classes at the College of Southern Nevada (CSN) and a scholarship he earned from the Nevada Latino Bar Association.
During the COVID pandemic, Junior served East Las Vegas as a Community Services Specialist within Clark County's government. He helped mobilize grocery giveaways when many in our community without work struggled to put food on the table. Junior also helped expand access to healthcare and make sure our comunidad had access to the same life-saving vaccines available in other parts of Las Vegas.

Junior's two youngest siblings are proud Wildcats at Las Vegas High, and they attended CCSD elementary and middle schools on the Eastside. His dad works on the Strip as a cook, and his mom is a certified nursing assistant and AFSCME union member. Junior is proud to call the Eastside home and looks forward to raising his own family here.
