Junior is the eldest son of Mexican immigrants and the first in his family to earn a college degree. A recent law school graduate with a master’s degree in public policy, he began his educational journey with night classes at the College of Southern Nevada and a scholarship from the Nevada Latino Bar Association.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, Junior served East Las Vegas as a Community Services Specialist for Clark County, helping coordinate food distributions for families facing hardship. He worked to expand access to healthcare, vaccines, and rental assistance programs that helped residents avoid eviction and recover from the pandemic’s economic impact.

Junior's two youngest siblings are proud Wildcats at Las Vegas High, and they attended CCSD elementary and middle schools on the Eastside. His dad works on the Strip as a cook, and his mom is a certified nursing assistant and AFSCME union member. Junior is proud to call the Eastside home and looks forward to raising his own family here.
